• Senior Medical Director, Hematology, New Markets Region is a newly created leadership position directly supporting the expansion of BeOne medical activities in markets where BeOne is already present or intends to establish affiliate. • The term New Markets encompasses countries in the Latin America, Central Europe, Africa and Middle East regions. • In close collaboration with the New Markets Team, the incumbent will lead and oversee medical activities in the assigned countries/regions and the creation of integrated Hematology medical strategy and tactics at the regional and country level, with the aim of enabling cancer patients in these regions to gain access to critically needed therapies. • This role will be part of the New Markets Medical Affairs Leadership team and will report to the Executive Director, Head of New Markets, Global Medical Affairs. • Key Responsibilities: Regional Medical Leadership drives regional medical leadership of New Markets with oversight of medical strategy and deliverables across Hematology. Ensures strategic alignment of New Markets with Global Medical Strategy and Global Medical Plans. Provides medical and scientific leadership into the overall strategy for the assigned regions. In addition to generation of scientific data to support medical claims, provide input for the generation of health economic outcome data to support reimbursement. Have responsibility for the provision of input to Research & Development to assist with the lifecycle management of the products for the Region, including developing and disseminating appropriate scientific data and ensuring all Medical Affairs activities are conducted with the utmost integrity. Oversees execution of regional medical strategies and activities and provided direction as required to ensure maximization of a product’s therapeutic and commercial potential across assigned portfolio. Serves as a Medical spokesperson for diseases, products & pipeline related topics in the region, in conjunction with GMA and Corporate Communications. Anticipates or identifies changes in the marketplace in the assigned regions that may provide scientific, medical, regulatory and / or commercial opportunities for BeiGene. Ensures strong medical / scientific support for pipeline and new product planning in assigned regions. Represents the needs of the New Markets region within the GMA organization and with cross functional global partners. Compliance Oversees communication and implementation of the SOPs and regulatory requirements within the region. Ensures robust implementation of local operating frameworks to account for local compliance needs, pharmaceutical industry code of practice, laws, and regulations.

🎯 Requirements

• Global Medical Affairs experience in Hematology is a plus, but robust local and regional/above market experience in emerging markets is more important and required for this role (track record of working in and with relevant small to mid-size markets, for example as Country Medical Director or regional medical leader). • Experience successfully working cross-functionally with commercial, medical, and clinical development functions. • Thorough understanding of the critical capabilities of global, regional, and local Medical Affairs organizations: clinical research, evidence generation, value demonstration/HEOR, medical communication, medical information, publication activities, local PV, medical review & compliance responsibilities. • Solid understanding of the commercialization processes, including payer processes and marketplace dynamics relevant to assigned regions. • Experience working with national and international regulatory agencies. • Track record of developing productive relationship and collaborations with local and international Key Opinion leaders and scientific partnerships with local or regional entities. • Demonstrable expertise of people leadership in Medical Affairs and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders. • Track record of successful leadership, management, and development of small to medium dispersed teams. • Proven track record of leading and driving business transformation and organizational culture change as well as delivering on programs with complex business deliverables. • Fluent English, and excellent written and oral communication skills. • Willingness to travel (up to 30%).
