• High School teachers carry a caseload of both content and homeroom students. • They meet with content students throughout the week in their virtual classrooms to provide standards-based direct and targeted instruction that meets the needs of the students. • Teachers support students in coursework, offer additional one-to-one support, and provide feedback and grade work within three days of submission. • Build lasting relationships with their homeroom students through daily homeroom sessions. • Provide interventions as needed to ensure students remain engaged and continue learning. • Communicate regularly with learning coaches and families via telephone, web conferencing, and email. • Proctor state testing.
• Permanent California Residence (Must currently reside in 1 of the 42 counties we service students and hire in) • Valid/current Preliminary/Clear/Life California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science: Chemistry • California English Learner Authorization- Issued by CTC • Bachelor's Degree • Strong content and subject-matter knowledge • Ability to support and guide adults, as well as students • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Organization and time-management skills • Excellent writing and grammar skills • Flexible schedule • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook, PowerPoint and experience using them in a professional capacity.
