• Serving as Interim Advancement Director, providing day-to-day leadership of the advancement department staff • Providing oversight, direction, guidance, and coordination of the current advancement projects and priorities • Assessing the efficiency of the advancement department • Designing and delivering training • Assisting clients in how to best align policy, process, procedures, and personnel to effectively leverage advancement solutions
• 5+ years’ experience as a senior-level advancement professional in a higher education institution • Familiarity with the conversion, oversight, or management of a modern fundraising and advancement CRM system (e.g., Ellucian CRM Advance, Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud, DonorPerfect, Affinaquest, Salesforce, Banner Advancement, or Colleague Advancement) • Experience assessing advancement operations and making recommendations for process improvement, including reviewing and recommending policy changes, staffing and organizational alignment changes, and realignment of roles and responsibilities when appropriate • Solid leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups, creating consensus building and preparing the organization and individuals for change and ongoing continuous improvement • Demonstration of superior communication skills and the ability to provide a consultative approach to end clients.
