📋 Description

• Build, evaluate, and improve ML ranking models for private, team, and brand content search • Drive relevance and recall improvements, particularly for enterprise users • Work on intelligent result understanding, search recovery, and exact title matching • Contribute to indexing using ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, vector search, and annotation technologies • Extend private and brand search quality and coverage to newer surfaces such as agent search • Investigate and resolve quality or relevance regressions in production search • Own scoped projects end-to-end, from problem framing through shipped, measurable search-quality impact • Experiment and iterate based on learnings • Collaborate with Backend Engineers • Communicate technical trade-offs and share knowledge across the team

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and shipping ML systems in production • Experience ideally in search, ranking, learning-to-rank (LTR), or relevance • Ability to define and improve relevance, recall, and ranking-quality metrics • Ability to take scoped projects from idea to shipped impact with minimal guidance • High autonomy and comfort with ambiguity • Experience with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch • Experience with vector search • Experience with annotation • Experience building and improving ML ranking models • Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders • Ability to share knowledge across the team
