📋 Description

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions. • Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable Python code using the Django framework. • Develop and enhance the front end using Angular, with a potential future migration to ReactJS. • Contribute to the development and customization of the CMS using the Wagtail framework. • Apply experience with AWS services to support the architecture and implementation of features for an established, cloud-based application. • Design, implement, and maintain robust task-processing and/or messaging systems. • Integrate and optimize PostgreSQL databases within applications. • Use modern code-quality tools and participate in code reviews. • Collaborate with the Product Owner and other engineers to understand business requirements and their implementation. • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices, particularly those related to Artificial Intelligence. • Consume vendor APIs and develop APIs for the platform, following REST API and microservices practices. • Interpret incomplete requirements, clarify questions, and consolidate requirements. • Propose creative solutions while considering the broader context of product features.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • Advanced or fluent English proficiency—you will work with a team in Canada. • At least five to six years of hands-on software development experience. • Proficiency in Python and Django; Flask experience is also acceptable. • Strong front-end development skills, preferably with Angular. Additional ReactJS knowledge is a plus. • Familiarity with Wagtail or another CMS framework is a plus. • Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and database best practices. • PostgreSQL experience is preferred, but proven hands-on experience with other modern relational database management systems will be considered. • Experience both consuming third-party APIs and developing APIs according to best practices, including OpenAPI and Swagger. • Knowledge of AWS cloud services and deployment strategies. • Experience with messaging or stream-processing platforms such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka. • Extensive hands-on experience with modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes. • Experience deploying with Jenkins or a similar CI/CD orchestration tool, as well as managing code and branches with Git. • Experience using AI plugins and tools for code development. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
