• We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Product Analyst to join our team. • Our client, a prominent insurance carrier, is a leader in the industry and has a widespread national presence. • They offer a comprehensive range of insurance products and services to customers across the United States. • They are committed to innovation and excellence in delivering customer-centric solutions. • The Product Analyst will provide essential analytical support to the State Product Management team, focusing on personal lines insurance (auto and home). • This role involves deep collaboration with Actuarial and Data Science teams to evaluate, implement, and monitor product changes. • The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a good understanding of actuarial principles, and excellent communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies. • Perform detailed analysis using data correlation and statistical techniques to identify patterns and insights. • Develop and structure information from various internal data sources; create and refine programs for data extraction from company databases. • Conduct primary market research including customer, competitor, distribution, and insurance department surveys. • Prepare analysis on loss experience, retention, and expenses to support pricing and rate-making decisions. • Analyze and summarize competitor rate filings and extract manual data for comparative purposes. • Build and maintain analytical tools and dashboards (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Python/R) to compare territory rate positions relative to peers. • Collaborate with state offices and cross-functional teams to support rate proposals and marketing plans. • Prepare regulatory filing exhibits and respond to data inquiries from insurance regulators. • Identify emerging market segments and recommend specialized pricing strategies. • Define system requirements for implementation of approved changes and enhancements. • Track and report on key performance indicators of state performance and strategic initiatives. • Support team initiatives and facilitate collaboration across the organization. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Qualifications & Experience Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, or 1 year in a Product Analyst II position. • English proficiency • Prior experience in an actuarial or product analyst capacity at a personal lines insurance company strongly preferred. • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. • Solid understanding of actuarial principles, insurance ratemaking, and financial modeling.
