• Support business units across the company, assisting stakeholders with a vast array of legal needs • Independently draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements with customers, vendors, and partners • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to facilitate high-volume sales activities • Help develop new and improved processes and procedures to ensure that Cardlytics’ Legal and Compliance department is efficient, organized, and world-class • Promote the Legal and Compliance Department’s vision across the company, ensuring that our legal obligations are met, and the company is protected in every facet • Use your legal brain to identify solutions to complex problems – going beyond pointing out that a problem exists • Help navigate rapidly developing data privacy legislation to ensure that company’s policies and procedures remain ahead of the curve
• At least 3-5 years of legal experience. • In-house, adtech, and privacy experience are all pluses • Comfort with and skill at sizing up a legal document and spotting the issues, whether a simple sales contract or a multi-million-dollar agreement that will change the trajectory of the company • A demonstrated ability to influence decisions at all levels and align stakeholders and teams on a common solution • Facility with complex business and technical concepts and consistently demonstrate good judgment when faced with difficult trade-offs • A track record of managing competing business needs and finding creative solutions that address concerns of all stakeholders
