📋 Description

• Collaborate with a top client in the travel Industry to build new Java services. • Build a suite of backend microservices (reservation, cart, search, itinerary, ship/port/configuration, promotion, notifications, CMS, and more) that all consumer websites, booking engines, and mobile apps depend on. • Migrate existing Scala/Play services to Java and maintain a high-traffic production platform reliable through that transition.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent • 4+ years building production backend services in Java 11+ (preferably Java 17) • Strong command of the language and the JVM (concurrency, memory, profiling). • Experience in Spring Framework (mainly Spring Boot) • Working experience in Scala (must be able to read and understand to perform migration to Java) • Experience in RESTful API design & JSON; to build and consume service-to-service APIs. • Experience in Relational databases (schema design, query tuning, an ORM/data) • Knowledge of automated testing (unit & integration testing) • Experience working with Git & Docker, comfortable shipping to containerized environments. • Solid grasp of distributed-systems basics: timeouts, retries, idempotency, caching, and graceful degradation. • Conversational English Communication
