• Own the accuracy and integrity of financial operations for a SaaS asset management software company. • Manage end-to-end invoicing and accounts receivable processes. • Oversee accounts payable, vendor bills, and payment schedules. • Review and adjust work done by outside bookkeepers to ensure accuracy. • Implement revenue recognition (ASC 606) and maintain deferred revenue schedules. • Run the month-end close and prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). • Maintain subsidiary schedules related to balance sheet accounts (e.g., accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue). • Track and report on customer revenue metrics (deferred vs. recognized revenue, renewal schedules, SaaS KPIs). • Prepare concise management reports highlighting cash, AR, and deferred revenue. • Coordinate with U.S. CPAs for tax filings and compliance needs, including preparation of supporting schedules. • Ensure records are audit-ready as the business grows.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • A CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification is strongly preferred. • CPA (U.S.) is a plus, but not required. • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in SaaS or software companies. • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606). • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote setup. • Comfortable collaborating with teams in both India and the U.S.
