• Use subject matter expertise and understanding of the curriculum to promote academic success • Conduct targeted outreach and provide instruction to target groups and individuals • Build capable learners confident in their ability to succeed academically and in life • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment • Mentor students and facilitate teaching/learning experiences.
• Deep understanding of and commitment to BYU Pathway Worldwide’s mission, defining characteristics, and student population • Fluency in English and Portuguese (required) • Adaptability to new processes, procedures, and technologies • Excellent interpersonal skills: professional, respectful, and unbiased in sensitive situations • Proven reliability and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, video conferencing, and discipline-specific software • Ability to communicate clearly in writing. • Experience with online teaching/learning, especially with at-risk learners (preferred) • A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of work experience. • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. • Frontend web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON. • Web development frameworks including Node.js and React. • Version control systems, such as GitHub.
