📋 Description

• Provide field-based technical support integrating gender-responsive and gender-transformative approaches into ICT Clubs and extracurricular interventions in five assigned schools • Guide teachers, mentors, school focal persons and the technical implementing partner on girls’ participation, leadership, confidence, safety, inclusion and empowerment • Co-design gender-transformative approaches and content for ICT Clubs, mentorship engagements, the Innovation Bootcamp and related activities • Identify and prepare female ICT and STEM role models and mentors and support mentorship and career-exposure engagements • Integrate gender-transformative content into methodologies, facilitation processes, implementation tools and school-level activities • Support ICT Clubs, mentorship engagements, the Innovation Bootcamp and related activities, including girls’ technical and leadership participation and digital projects • Monitor gender-component implementation, identify barriers and opportunities, recommend solutions and provide follow-up support • Document achievements, lessons learned, good practices, challenges and recommendations from assigned schools • Prepare school-level monitoring reports and a consolidated report covering five assigned schools for the Lead Gender Expert • Submit inception and teacher-orientation workshop reports, assigned-school reports, gender-integration reports and a final technical report

🎯 Requirements

• University degree in Gender Studies, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field • At least 5 years of professional experience in gender equality, girls’ empowerment and gender-transformative programming • Demonstrated experience integrating gender into education, ICT, STEM, youth or community development programmes • Experience working with schools, adolescents, teachers and community stakeholders • Experience working with government institutions, development partners or international organizations is an added advantage • Strong facilitation, mentoring, communication, analytical and report-writing skills • Excellent written and spoken English and Kiswahili • Ability to provide support across five assigned schools and report to the Lead Gender Expert • External candidates may apply • Submit an updated CV demonstrating relevant experience and assignment-related fees and travel costs
