📋 Description

• Supervise and mentor junior payroll staff, ensuring professional growth and output accuracy • Manage the end-to-end payroll lifecycle for 15+ states • Act as the final escalation point for complex tax and system issues • Lead withholding, filing, and reconciliation for 15+ states, including SUTA/FUTA, FICA, and local tax nexus • Serve as the subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, ensuring system integration and data integrity • Lead registration of new state tax IDs and manage SUTA/FUTA/FICA compliance • Lead responses to federal and state tax notices, garnishments, and year-end W-2/W-3 reconciliations • Provide C-suite reporting on audits, 401k, and trends • Shift payroll from manual processes to automated, scalable processes • Perform other duties and projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience managing US payroll; multi-state experience is non-negotiable • High proficiency in payroll systems such as ADP WorkforceNow and Kronos/UKG • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and Macros • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA or CPP certification is a massive plus • Flawless English communication skills • Comfortable working 10:00 PM–7:00 AM PHST to align with US Eastern/Central time zones • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal, prior employment, and education verification
