📋 Description

• Provides direct mental health services, including diagnosis, evaluations, treatment, and consultation as appropriate. • Provides behavioral health services in conjunction with multi disciplinary team- therapist, psychologist and or psychiatrist. • Provides comprehensive assessment of patients and appropriate family members. • Completes the history of the present illness and reviews past histories. • Provides individual, group, family and pharmacologic therapeutic interventions that are evidence based. • Provides crisis intervention and referral for psychiatric hospitalization. • Makes referrals for further diagnostic psychological or medical testing as needed. • Interviews patients to obtain insight into their problems. • Provides appropriate patient assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in accordance with acceptable Standards of Care and Regulatory Requirements. • Collaborates with primary therapist on treatment plan development. • Works in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans. • Prescribes psychiatric medication when needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Master of Nursing degree • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Maryland • 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting • Experience with telemedicine preferred • Basic computer knowledge required
