📋 Description

• Provide translation services for individuals with language barriers across Education, legal, Medical, Environmental, and Social Services • Accurately translate lectures, conversations, meetings, medical and legal content • Remain HIPAA compliant when interpreting/translating in healthcare settings • Abide by client policies and the American Translators Association Code of Ethics • Render complete and accurate translations without altering, omitting, or adding content • Be sensitive to cultural differences between source and target languages • Be available on-call; translators will be notified within 48 hours of potential jobs • Establish and maintain a productive professional remote workspace • May perform other duties as assigned; report to Deputy Program Manager

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent in years of experience • Minimum of 2 years of related experience • Certified Translation Professional or equivalent translation certifications/accreditation • Must be fluent in English • Must be fluent in Armenian • Must be able to pass a background check (may require additional checks per project/client) • Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat • Ability to facilitate translation with discretion and impartiality • Proficiency in written communication • Cultural awareness and sensitivity in translations • Problem-solving skills • Self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to be on-call and work flexible hours • Ability to sit for long periods and use computer for extended periods • HIPAA compliance when interpreting/translating in healthcare settings • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field • Preferred: Medical interpreter certificate from CCHI or NCI for medical translation • Preferred: 2 years legal translation experience • Preferred: 2 years medical translation experience • Preferred: American Translators Association Certification • Preferred: Court certified translator certificate
