📋 Description

• Lead project implementation activities within customer networks • Ensure project scope, schedules, deliverables, quality objectives, and service margin targets are achieved • Analyze project proposals to determine timelines, funding limitations, and execution approaches • Identify, schedule, and track deliverables, milestones, tasks, and project communications • Document and communicate project status, risks, obstacles, and resolutions to management • Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation plans • Coordinate with Customer Operations, Sales, Bid Management, Service Delivery, Finance, and other stakeholders to achieve project and financial objectives • Operate under the guidance of a Ciena Senior Project Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field • Up to 12 months of related project management work experience strongly preferred • Critical thinking and analysis to evaluate multidimensional problems and generate solutions • Judgment and decision-making across multiple alternatives • Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities • Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization involving multiple stakeholders • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Salesforce project management tools • PRINCE2 or PMP certification preferred • Experience working in a matrix organization and influencing and collaborating across multiple teams • Application of technology, services, and business concepts in a project environment • Business judgment applied to complex business issues • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Customer-first mindset with relationship building, velocity, business acumen, and influencing others
