âą 5+ years of blood banking or clinical medical technician experience in a donor or patient facing role and post-secondary training or equivalent work experience in the following areas: âą Medical screening. âą Phlebotomy âą Automated collection device operation (including by not limited to MCS+, Amicus, Alyx, and Spectra Optia) and instrumentation. âą Handling of donor complications. âą Autologous and directed donations. âą Therapeutic donations. âą Experience with virtual or online learning, showcasing an understanding of how to foster engaging and effective learning environments. âą A strong command of virtual classroom technologies, video conferencing tools, and multimedia resources. âą Moderate proficiency in the use of: âą Learning management systems (LMS) to document training. âą Microsoft Excel to collect structured data used by various information management systems. âą MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS OneNote, and MS SharePoint. âą Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely. âą A demonstrated ability to adapt instructional strategies for diverse learners and create inclusive learning experiences. âą A patient, approachable, and supportive attitude toward learners, promoting a positive and collaborative learning atmosphere. âą Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. âą A continuous learner with a growth mindset, open to incorporating new teaching methodologies and technologies. âą Familiarity with assessment and evaluation techniques to measure learner performance and learning outcomes.
