• CHA’s dedicated team of electric transmission and substation professionals prioritizes safety and technical excellence - from initial surveying and assessment to planning, permitting, research, and comprehensive design and engineering. • We are committed to delivering top-tier solutions for both new and existing electrical power infrastructure. • We specialize in all types and the full spectrum of power delivery systems. • Our expertise extends to various insulation mediums, including air, gas, liquid, or solid, catering to transmission, distribution, and generation needs. • The Sr. Transmission Engineer, a key role at CHA, leads the technical execution of projects within his/her discipline and provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering. • This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. • The Sr. Transmission Engineer provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.) • The Sr. Transmission Engineer resolves highly complex technical issues and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems. • The professional in this role recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering required; • Master’s degree preferred • Professional Engineer License (PE) required • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) • Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences • Proficiency with MS Office software required • Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred
