Circle is a financial technology company that focuses on utilizing blockchain technology to enable seamless, faster and secure transactions. Their main product, USDC, is a stablecoin designed to provide stability by being fully reserved and redeemable 1:1 for US dollars, and is widely used in global transactions to facilitate cross-border payments, crypto capital markets, and global dollar access. Circle offers an open developer platform that allows businesses to integrate blockchain functionalities such as programmable wallets and smart contracts into their applications. The company is committed to transparency and publishes regular reports on their reserve holdings.

📋 Description

• Define and drive the design vision for Circle’s wallet products — across mobile, web, and embedded APIs/SDKs. • Lead user experience design around crypto-centric flows: private key abstraction, address formats, signing, gas fees, and chain compatibility. • Build interfaces that promote clarity and trust in high-stakes environments — security prompts, recovery flows, biometrics, and secure enclaves. • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to align technical feasibility with intuitive UX. • Maintain and extend our product design system for crypto-specific use cases and components. • Conduct user research and usability testing, especially with crypto-native and crypto-curious audiences. • Mentor more junior designers on the team and scale product design practices within a fast-paced startup culture. • Serve as a voice of design within the broader organization, advocating for user needs and responsible Web3 innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product design, with 2+ years in crypto, blockchain, fintech, or related industries. • Experience designing complex user experiences — ideally involving wallets, financial products, developer tools, or security-related applications. • Deep knowledge of crypto design principles, including non-custodial vs. custodial wallets, transaction signing, seed phrase management, and L2 ecosystems. • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a portfolio that reflects thoughtful problem-solving in ambiguous or emerging technology spaces. • Proficiency in Figma and other modern design and prototyping tools. • A proactive communication style — you’re comfortable navigating async collaboration and working with distributed teams across languages and timezones. • Experience leading design initiatives end-to-end — from early discovery to implementation and launch.
