📋 Description
• Undertake scheduled irrigation maintenance and system inspections • Test, troubleshoot and repair irrigation systems including pipes, valves, sprinklers and control systems • Program irrigation controllers (including solar and battery operated systems) • Complete minor alterations and upgrades to irrigation infrastructure • Carry out fault diagnostics using tools such as multi‑meters and cable locators • Maintain plant, equipment and materials in line with fleet and asset management requirements • Conduct safety inspections and actively promote safe work practices • Liaise with Parks Maintenance teams and contractors to support efficient operations • Assist with training and mentoring of team members where required
🎯 Requirements
• Certificate in Irrigation, Turf or Horticulture, or demonstrated experience in irrigation maintenance and installation • Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems • Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and drawings • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills • Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality outcomes • Desirable: Basic Worksite Traffic Management competency • First Aid Certificate • Essential Requirements: Year 10 Certificate • Safety Awareness Training Certificate • National Police Clearance (less than 3 months old) • Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
