• Coordinate relations with EU SEE consortium partners through different Working Groups and represent CIVICUS in the consortium • Serve as the interface between the EU SEE Lot 1 consortium and CIVICUS • Coordinate six CIVICUS research papers and data analysis through December 2029 • Coordinate subgrants, including contracting, deliverables and project administration • Coordinate relationships with Network Members and Lot 2 (Flexible Support Mechanism) • Ensure the annual narrative report reflects CIVICUS’ contribution, in collaboration with the MEL Officer • Act as operational deputy to the Civic Space Research Lead and manage day-to-day EU SEE Lot 1 coordination • Coordinate with the Advocacy Officer, Communication Officer, MEL Officer, Research Advisor and other project staff • Contribute to the continued development of EU SEE methodology • Ensure research products produced by Network Members are high quality and advise on additional training or capacity development • Provide research advice and support to partners, including reviewing Network Member research products • Ensure coordination with the CIVICUS Monitor team and SEE partners when relevant • Manage and coordinate the work of two EU SEE Research Advisors
• Master’s degree in social sciences, Politics, International Relations, Development Studies and any related field or equivalent work experience • Fluency in verbal and written communication in English • Additional language proficiency in French is required • At least seven years of professional experience undertaking research on human rights and the enabling environment for civil society • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel • Excellent research and analytical skills • Demonstrated prior experience in project management of donor-funded programs and working with consortia or alliance of civil society organisations • Strong strategic thinking and planning and reporting skills • Demonstrated collaboration, coordination and partnership building abilities, both internally within an organisation and externally • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse, virtual team • Ability to analyse complex sets of information and identify trends • Understanding of international human rights frameworks related to fundamental freedoms of association, peaceful assembly and expression • Well-organised, with the ability to work independently • Ability to engage effectively with consortium partners, donors and local civil society partners • Strong existing ties with the EU institutions and Brussels-based civil society networks • Experience with data analysis, including data management • Previous experience with EU funded programs highly desirable • Experience working as part of a consortium or groups of organisations that support civil society • Experience working with members-based organisations and responding to multiple demands from civil society • Must have the right to work in the location where they are based
• Some level of international travel will be required
