📋 Description

• We're building a talent pipeline for exceptional Senior Backend Engineers who want to be part of Clara’s mission in transforming corporate spend management across Latin America. • As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll help architect and scale backend services that power mission-critical features. • You'll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are performant, maintainable, and aligned with both technical and business goals. • Typical responsibilities include: Designing and developing backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. • Architecting scalable systems based on microservices, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs. • Building integrations with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB. • Leveraging event-driven architectures and tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ. • Driving DevOps best practices with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. • Operating within AWS and applying cloud-native architecture principles. • Applying TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies to ensure high-quality releases. • Mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural strategy.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of backend development experience using Java, especially with Spring/Spring Boot • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and microservices • Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases • Familiarity with event-driven systems and message brokers • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud platforms like AWS • Deep knowledge of TDD, BDD, and Agile development • Strong communication and leadership skills • Working proficiency in English and Spanish • Proactive, adaptable, and execution-focused • Background in financial applications or platforms • Previous experience as a Tech Lead or team mentor • Interest in using AI tools to boost engineering efficiency
