📋 Description

• Lead backend development initiatives within the Risk/ Collections team. This role goes beyond coding: you’ll help shape technical direction, foster engineering best practices, and ensure the performance and scalability of backend systems that directly support Clara’s operational efficiency. • Your responsibilities will include: Leading backend design and implementation for high-impact internal systems and services; Collaborating across the full product lifecycle—from ideation to deployment; Mentoring junior developers and upholding strong engineering standards; Writing scalable, testable code with unit and integration testing; Maintaining and evolving microservices within a modern architecture; Participating in cross-team problem-solving and architectural discussions; Producing clear documentation and conducting code reviews to ensure quality and consistency; Integrating with internal and external systems via REST and SOAP APIs

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience • Proficiency in Java (minimum version 8; ideally version 17) and Spring Boot 3 • Experience with Hibernate/JPA, and relational/NoSQL databases • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems using Kafka • Experience integrating with third-party providers via REST and SOAP APIs • Proficiency in Docker, Git, Github, and CI/CD pipelines • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS • Deep knowledge of software design principles and testing strategies • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) • Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to lead technical discussions across geographies • Experience working with multi-country stakeholders and remote teams • Exposure to infrastructure and monitoring tooling within cloud-native environments • Interest in using AI tools to optimize internal operations
