📋 Description

• We are looking for a Senior DBRE with a passion for and proven experience in ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of critical data environments. • You will be part of the team responsible for evolving, scaling, and ensuring the reliability of our data platform on AWS, directly supporting our products and services. • Administer and optimize Aurora PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis/ElastiCache in high-criticality production environments. • Automate database operations, provisioning, and maintenance processes to reduce manual work and mitigate operational risks. • Work closely with engineering and architecture teams, supporting technical decisions and promoting data engineering and observability best practices. • Investigate and resolve issues related to performance, availability, replication, and consistency, acting proactively to prevent incidents.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in administering, operating, and evolving SQL databases in mission-critical production environments: Aurora PostgreSQL (primary stack for this role); MySQL. • Hands-on experience with Redis/ElastiCache in low-latency environments. • Strong experience with AWS: RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, IAM, EC2, VPC, security, and networking. • Experience working in high-scale environments, with automation, cloud computing, and resilient architectures. • Proficiency in performance tuning, troubleshooting, query analysis, indexing, and operating distributed databases. • Solid experience with observability, particularly Datadog (APM, logs, metrics, and alerts). • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent). • Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems. • Experience with automation and scripting languages: Python, Bash, or similar. • Strong practices in backup, disaster recovery, replication, and data security. • Ability to work autonomously, make technical decisions, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. • Analytical mindset, technical curiosity, and a focus on solving complex problems. • Commitment to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement.
