📋 Description

• Provide freelance communications support for specific pieces of work and/or short time periods • Join the roster of approved contractors and undertake short-term or piecework engagements as required • Work in report editing, document layout and design, infographics, event organising, video production, media relations, and/or social media • Take briefs and work quickly and independently • Deliver work on deadline and to the required standard • Support Climate Analytics’ communications outputs, including science papers, decarbonisation pathways, online tools, and reactive commentary • Work with the communications team and diverse international teams across time zones

🎯 Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience in communications • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Climate Analytics • Experience in a setting where factual accuracy and the weight of evidence are critical • Preference given to candidates with climate change communications experience • Track record of high-quality work in one or more of: report editing; document layout and design; infographics; event organisation and management; video production; media relations; social media • Independent work setup requiring no infrastructural addition • Registered for tax as a freelancer/consultant in the country where you live; responsible for own tax, insurance, etc. • Ability to build positive, effective relationships with diverse teams • Experience working across time zones in multicultural or international environments • English fluency to at least C1 level • Familiarity with climate science, energy policy analysis, global development, and/or international environmental diplomacy ideally • Senior role in an established energy or environmental think tank, or a long track record of effective freelance work in this field • Interest in international affairs and lived experience of a range of cultures desirable • Capacity in languages other than English desirable • CV, cover letter, and list of three references in PDF format • Standard day rate must be included • Work samples or links to relevant online work appreciated
