📋 Description

‱ Set technical standards and drive technical direction for the engineering team. ‱ Simplify the complexities of healthcare by building scalable systems that enhance human efforts. ‱ Introduce new tools and technologies to solve challenges and drive progress toward company goals. ‱ Lead the team in defining and maintaining development best practices, ensuring rapid iteration while maintaining high-quality standards, including writing tests and documenting key implementations. ‱ Work closely with Product Managers and operational teams to conceptualize and develop new features with minimal oversight. ‱ Provide technical leadership and mentorship to support the growth and development of the engineering team. ‱ You collaborate easily with your technical and non-technical colleagues in an empowered pod model. ‱ You actively participate in technical discussions and create clear, easy to understand implementations/Technical Design Documents when tackling ambiguous open ended problems. ‱ You leverage your technical and business acumen to identify opportunities for improvements, evaluate new technologies. You proactively share your expertise and contribute to raising the overall technical capabilities of the team. You mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented engineering environment.

🎯 Requirements

‱ You have 8+ years of experience with functional or imperative programming languages, such as Python, Ruby, Go, C, or Java. ‱ You are proficient in a variety of databases, including SQL, NoSQL, and distributed databases. ‱ You approach building and maintaining systems with maturity, rigor, and a focus on scalability. ‱ You are comfortable working across different technical systems and concerns. ‱ You have experience building and refactoring complex (often distributed) systems. ‱ You are proficient in RESTful APIs and have a strong understanding of API design principles. ‱ You are skilled in troubleshooting and debugging complex web applications and performance bottlenecks. ‱ You have a strong understanding of security best practices in web development, including common vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques. ‱ You demonstrate the ability to influence at all levels, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and drive technical decision-making.
