📋 Description

• Lead the migration of Windows-based legacy applications, including IIS-hosted services, from on-premises infrastructure to AWS GovCloud. • Configure and optimize Windows Servers, IIS, and Windows VMs in both on-premises and AWS environments. • Perform application and dependency mapping to ensure all components are accurately migrated and integrated. • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures to replicate or enhance existing capabilities. • Develop migration roadmaps, cutover strategies, and rollback plans to ensure minimal downtime and business continuity. • Collaborate with developers, application owners, and security teams to validate performance, compliance, and data integrity. • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and PowerShell. • Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, and other regulatory requirements for AWS GovCloud environments. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize migrated workloads for performance, cost, and reliability. • Document migration processes, configurations, and operational procedures for knowledge transfer and support.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 7 years’ experience or equivalent number of combined years of education or experience. • 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with at least 3+ years focused on AWS cloud architecture and migration. • Proven experience migrating Windows-based legacy applications and infrastructure into AWS. • Hands-on expertise configuring and managing Windows Server, IIS (Internet Information Services), and Windows-based VMs. • Deep knowledge of AWS GovCloud and its security/compliance requirements. • Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation/Terraform, and CloudWatch. • Background in system integration, application dependency mapping, and performance optimization. • Proficiency with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash). • Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing) and hybrid cloud connectivity. • Strong knowledge of security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA). • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. • Strong experience with Jira for team collaboration and task management. • Ability to create clear, structured documentation including diagrams, workflows, and procedures. • Experience with documentation version control and content governance.
