📋 Description

• Stand a regular watch as assigned by the Captain • Manage all navigation equipment on the bridge and report defects to the Master • Keep navigation equipment log books correct and current • Perform voyage and environmental voyage planning, including MARPOL and local regulations • Keep chart folios and publications current according to the latest Notice to Mariners • Maintain merchant flags and pennants • Maintain port questionnaires and provide traffic, tidal, and current information • Submit a final technical itinerary each voyage to the Staff Chief Engineer • Perform emergency duties assigned on the Muster List • Ensure the safety and security of the vessel, passengers, and crew while on watch in port • Safely navigate and pilot the vessel while underway • Assist the Staff Captain with safe and efficient ship operation • Monitor communication systems, including daily, weekly, and monthly GMDSS tests • Maintain necessary documentation such as the radio log

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed deck officer • Must Have COP Basic Polar Waters • Must be experienced in sailing in Ice and Polar Waters • Updated CV, references and latest appraisal • Adequate understanding of relevant rules, regulations, codes, and guidelines • Fully conversant with the Company’s Safety Management System • Knowledge of MARPOL-related regulations and limits • Ability to perform GMDSS tests and maintain radio logs

• 3 Months +/- 1 Months of vacation • Salary of 8,133.00 USD per month whilst working onboard only • 3 Months +/- 1 Months rotation onboard/vacation
