Community Counseling Solutions is a provider of behavioral health services operating in four counties in Oregon. The company specializes in mental health support, developmental disabilities, counseling for gambling and substance addictions, and various therapeutic programs including equine therapy. Their services include individual, family, and group therapy, 24/7 crisis intervention, psychiatric consultation, and medication management, along with collaborative efforts with residential and school programs.

📋 Description

• Provides psychiatric diagnosis, care and treatment on an in-patient and telepsychiatry basis and/or in person to improve the mental health of clients. • Completes psychiatric evaluations as required on new clients. • Reevaluates and updates as needed. • Performs age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients. • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs. • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities. • Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability. • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions. • Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings. • Reviews and evaluates clinical data pertaining to physical status of client. • Reviews and follows up on previous mental and physical treatment plans. • Leads prescribed individual, group therapy and/or education sessions as part of specific therapeutic procedures. • Reviews, approves and signs individual plans of service of clients. • Documents and updates client’s progress in progress notes. • Prescribes client medication. • Monitors medication effectiveness and modifies as necessary. • Works with team members, including clinicians, nurses and social workers to discuss client progress and outlook. • Coordinates with outside agencies as necessary. • Act as a client advocate when appropriate. • Contacts client’s relatives to arrange family conferences if necessary.

🎯 Requirements

• Medical degree in psychiatry from an accredited program. • Completion of an Adult residency. • Licensed by the State of Oregon. • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. • Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area. • Individual must be able to pass a criminal history background check. • Preference given to individuals who have worked with individuals who have mental illnesses in a residential or psychiatric hospital setting.
