📋 Description

• As a Service Engineer, you will provide critical onsite support to customers, and maintain their instrumentation in a wide range of fast-paced facilities. • Always represents the company in a professional manner with integrity, while providing outstanding customer service that aligns with Compass Engineering’s vision and values. • Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact on-site and responsible for the equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by proper execution of preventive maintenance, modifications, diagnosing, and repairing equipment at customers’ location. • Responsible for submitting accurate field service reports, expense reports, and other necessary paperwork. • Must recognize and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental rules and policies that are applicable to each location. • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills to provide on-site and phone support for customers, field service engineers and other service team members. • Must be a self-starter and able to perform assigned tasks efficiently with no supervision. • Must be able to read, interpret and understand manufacturers’ equipment technical manuals. • Ability to read and understand electrical and pneumatic schematics. • The ability to communicate technical concepts and troubleshooting instructions via telephone and/or in writing. • Must have computer knowledge and competency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as various OEM instrument software packages.

🎯 Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations. • Electronics degree and mechanical aptitude are preferred. • May frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier pieces of equipment with support equipment and/or assistance. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
