Connecting the Pieces (CTP) is a Pennsylvania-based provider of intervention services for children with special needs and their families. CTP delivers applied behavior analysis and behavior analytic services (through BCBAs and behavior specialists), tutoring, counseling and social work, social skills training, assessments, and direct support across educational and medical settings. The organization staffs special education teachers, tutors, counselors, social workers, paraprofessionals, and behavior health technicians, and partners with commercial insurers and state Medicaid programs to serve families throughout Pennsylvania. CTP emphasizes evidence-based practices, professional development for staff, and collaborative relationships with schools and clinicians.

📋 Description

• Provide services to students virtually and/or in the home. • Provide instruction and support to students • Effectively implement the Wilson Reading Program to students • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students • Monitor student’s IEP goals • Provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) as deemed necessary in the student’s IEP • Continually seek to motivate students for the learning task at hand • Build a rapport with student(s) and team members • Work collaboratively and communicate with members of the IEP team • Obtain daily signatures/authorizations from parent or guardian • Input data into CTP and school specific systems regarding schedules, hours worked, attendance, cancellations, mileage, and other required information in a timely fashion

🎯 Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Special Education and/or General Education • Level I and/or II Wilson reading certification • 1 to 2 Years’ Experience working with children who have special needs • Available during typical school hours • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to build a rapport with student(s) and team members • Well-organized and reliable • PA State and FBI clearances • Personal transportation preferred
