Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Virtually assist students and parents/learning coaches with course selection and scheduling • Advise students and families related to academics, career planning, and graduation • Keep abreast of all high school graduation requirements and communicate this information • Assist students and parents with the secondary school course selection process • Advise students with issues related to dropping courses and changing schedules • Review student transcripts and ensure accuracy in the online transcript system • Work with administrative assistants to obtain and forward school records when appropriate • Coordinate a team of teachers to help identify at-risk or in-crisis students • Act as the main point of contact for these students and families • Oversee and maintain the Personal Learning Plan (PLP) for each student • Support families through the school withdrawal process • Report and refer critical incidents related to student well-being • Collaborate with the Curriculum Team for meeting state requirements • Educate students and parents about college admissions and financial aid • Support professional development for teachers and school staff • Assume teaching and grading duties as necessary

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside within the state of Arkansas or live 300 miles from Bentonville, AR • Arkansas certification in School Counseling • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft Office products) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • High degree of flexibility • Team player with demonstrated leadership skills • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast-paced environment • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel) • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication.
