Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students • Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing • Attend professional development related to Title III compliance • Complete grading and conduct parent conferences • Support instructional program with web conferencing and synchronous instruction • Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to increase understanding • Communicate regularly with parents and students • Collaborate with school leadership • Develop alternate enrichment activities • Coordinate social activities and field trips for students • Participate in student recruiting sessions and marketing efforts

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside within the state of Alabama • Appropriately certified to teach K-8 Spanish in Alabama • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for school-based meetings, trainings, marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel) • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.
