Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Work with Missouri Connections Academy, managing instructional programs from home • Virtually manage instructional programs and consult regularly with learning coaches and students • Complete all grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner • Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction • Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons • Communicate regularly with parents, students and other teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans • Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing • Manage regional field trips and integrate trips into the curriculum • Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing • Attend and participate in in-person training sessions and team building activities scheduled throughout the school year • Other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Middle School Math in Missouri (appropriate to grade level and content area responsibilities) • Experience with Professional Learning Communities • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel) • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication.
