📋 Description

• Run accounts payable end to end, including verifying supplier invoices, coding them in Xero, preparing payment runs, and paying suppliers on time • Process team member expense reimbursements, check claims against policy, query discrepancies, and maintain predictable turnaround • Own monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, Stripe settlements, and key ledger accounts • Manage balance sheet accounts and maintain reconciliations and month-end close workpapers • Flag material issues to the Financial Controller before close week • Serve as the day-to-day contact for auditors, provide samples, explain workpapers, and maintain internal controls • Document recurring processes in written procedures • Identify and propose improvements to manual processes • Progress over time into management accounting, analytical and reporting work, and process design

🎯 Requirements

• Commerce degree plus CA Inter, CMA Inter, or part-qualified ACCA (discontinued is fine), or an M.Com • 2 to 4 years of hands-on accounting work • Reconciliation experience across bank, supplier, or settlement accounts • Working proficiency in Xero, including coding transactions, running bank feeds and reconciliations, and pulling reports independently • Experience maintaining balance sheet reconciliations or preparing workpapers for a month-end close • Sharp written English • Comfort working across the India and Australia time difference • Australian accounting exposure, including GST, BAS, or work for Australian clients (nice to have) • Experience supporting a statutory audit (nice to have) • Reconciliation work with Stripe or another payment platform (nice to have) • Experience in a startup or multi-brand environment (nice to have)
