📋 Description

• Serve as the senior engineer and escalation point for Contour's first in-house IT team • Own and harden Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, Rippling, the LMS, identity and device platforms, and approved AI platforms • Take L2 and L3 escalations, identify root causes, and create runbooks for recurring issues • Design identity and access controls, including role-based access, SSO, MFA, 2SV, periodic access reviews, and offboarding • Administer macOS and Windows device fleets, including largely BYOD devices • Run campus networks, CCTV, and door access from India using UniFi or comparable tools; manage MSP scope and escalations • Own endpoint, email, domain, credential, and vendor security posture • Lead incident response for security incidents and outages; maintain timelines, write RCAs, and track remediation • Enforce production change records with approvals, rollback plans, and verification steps • Document systems and create guides for future administrators • Report ticket trends, availability, license use, unused seats, security posture, risks, costs, and recommendations to leadership • Build monitored Make.com or Zapier automations with error handling and alerting • Lead practical AI adoption across the team • Mentor and review the systems engineer's work • Evaluate and recommend tools beyond the fixed HubSpot platform

🎯 Requirements

• Four or more years in systems administration, systems engineering or senior IT support • At least two years as the accountable administrator for a core business system • Administrator-level Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 experience supporting a few hundred users or more • Experience designing identity and access controls, including SSO, MFA, an identity provider, and least privilege • Owned security work including hardening, access reviews, patching, endpoint protection, and at least one security incident handled from detection to write-up • Networking diagnosis experience including VLANs, routing, wireless design, and hands-on UniFi or comparable experience • Endpoint management across macOS and Windows at fleet scale, including BYOD devices • Experience following a real change process, including at least one clean rollback • Useful scripting skills in Python, JavaScript or Google Apps Script • Ability to explain technical trade-offs in plain English to executives • Comfortable working across the India and Australia time difference • Nice to have: hands-on UniFi, CCTV or door access control work • Nice to have: HubSpot, Rippling, Aircall or Notion administration • Nice to have: Google Apps Script, Zapier or Make.com scenarios, or basic Python • Nice to have: experience in education or another environment handling student or minor data • Nice to have: diploma, degree or certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, or Google Workspace Administrator
