📋 Description

• Build internal tools end to end, including front end, logic, and data • Use Gemini and similar AI tools to prototype and ship quickly without compromising quality • Integrate tools with Google, Firebase, and Contour's internal systems • Maintain sound architecture, avoid exposed API keys and sensitive data exposure, and document work for others • Understand how internal work happens and build tools that solve the real problem • Ship at least one internal tool used daily by the end of month three • Report to the VP of Global Enablement and Support • Distinguish internal tools from core product, LMS, and student-facing work owned by engineering

🎯 Requirements

• Shipped working software or tools in a professional setting; years of experience do not matter • Ability to build a small app end to end, such as React with a backend like Firebase • Comfortable with JavaScript and Google Apps Script • Comfortable using AI to code, with sound instincts for safe, maintainable builds • Strong real-world product and business sense • Comfortable working across time zones, with overlap into Australian time • Nice to have: hands-on experience with React, Firebase, or Gemini and similar LLM APIs • Nice to have: experience with Make.com or other integration tooling • Nice to have: background in edtech, media, video, or pipeline tooling
