📋 Description

• Own data products across the full lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation through semantic modelling, reporting, documentation, and user adoption • Design, develop, and implement full-stack data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI • Translate ambiguous business questions into data models, semantic layers, dashboards, and documentation • Manage delivery from discovery and prototyping through validation and production support • Develop and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, dataflows Gen2, and copy activities • Organise data in Fabric Lakehouse and/or Data Warehouse patterns using layered bronze, silver, and gold architectures • Establish ETL/ELT standards, performance optimisation, scalable design, data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring • Build and govern clean, well-modelled, documented datasets and feature-ready CI/CD for the data platform using GitHub • Design dimensional and star schemas, including facts, dimensions, SCDs, and conformed dimensions • Build and maintain Power BI semantic models using DAX measures and calculated columns • Develop performant Power BI reports, dashboards, and apps with navigation, drill-through, parameterised views, and security • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities • Support predictive or statistical modelling and AI-assisted analytics such as Power BI Copilot • Ensure compliance with data governance policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements • Document data products, including purpose, sources, refresh cadence, ownership, lineage, and limitations • Collaborate with commercial, operations, finance, clinical, engineering, architecture, governance, and security stakeholders • Participate in peer reviews of SQL, Python, DAX, data models, and report designs • Line-manage data engineers, including objectives, one-to-ones, performance reviews, and development

🎯 Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, modelling, and performance tuning • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, pipelines, dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse and/or Data Warehouse • Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, semantic modelling, datasets, reports, apps, and performance optimisation • Solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling concepts • Experience implementing BI security models such as row-level security • Familiarity with Git-based source control and CI/CD practices • Experience with enterprise source systems such as ERP, CRM, and finance systems • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Clear communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and data quality • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative environment • Comfortable working in regulated or compliance-driven environments • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience • Typically 5+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or data engineering • Demonstrated experience across the full data stack, from ingestion and modelling to reporting and user adoption
