📋 Description
• Design, develop, and test distributed software applications • Design and implement fault tolerant systems to ensure service availability and guarantees in the presence of catastrophic failures • Evaluate and analyze requirements from other engineering teams for various applications • Coordinate with other teams to resolve urgent software issues in deployed services • Leverage various monitoring and alerting services to solve intricate programming problems at scale • Work on an end-to-end solution around Apache Pinot • Work on distributed systems including messaging, OLAP, and stream processing
🎯 Requirements
• Programming language concepts: Java, Go, Python • Relational database concepts and familiarity with SQL • Debugging and monitoring for production services • Operating system concepts: networking, multi-threading, POSIX • UNIX/Linux scripting • Dependency management tools such as Maven and Artifactory • Source control systems: Git and SVN • Knowledge of distributed systems, messaging, OLAP, and stream processing
