📋 Description
• Host a live, one-hour workshop on a monthly basis • Answer student questions related to construction estimating and the job search • Share real-world insight into what entry-level estimating roles actually look like • Explain how estimating works in real construction environments (GCs, subs, specialty trades) • Discuss common tools, workflows, and expectations • Provide optional 1:1 coaching to students who request it
🎯 Requirements
• 3+ years of professional construction estimating experience • Experience estimating for GCs, subcontractors, or specialty trades (e.g. concrete, electrical, mechanical, roofing, etc.) • Familiarity with estimating tools such as Excel, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar software • Strong understanding of entry-level roles like Estimating Assistant, Junior Estimator, or Project Coordinator • Interest in mentoring and helping career changers • Strong communication and teaching ability • Availability at least three evenings per week, ideally Tuesday–Thursday • Self-starter mindset — comfortable leading workshops independently
