📋 Description

• Design and develop software and improve existing code • Write unit tests and validate software against acceptance criteria • Apply team coding, documentation, and testing standards • Conduct impact analysis to identify the impact of application changes • Participate in code reviews and communicate application changes • Document code and projects for maintainability and support • Debug production problems and propose effective solutions • Read and write design documents • Learn the business process domain to better support the business • Contribute to sprint commitments and actively participate in Agile practices • Participate in continuous learning activities to improve design and code quality and application domain knowledge • Guide and aid less experienced software engineers • Work as a dedicated member of a globally distributed team, partnering with U.S. business partners • Own small features or components end-to-end and communicate progress and blockers • Design, build, and scale solutions impacting customers and operations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field of study; or equivalent work experience • Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience or comparable depth of experience • Strong experience with Java, Spring-boot, Rect & NodeJS, with strong emphasis on backend development • Experience working with cloud platform environments such as AWS • Use of one or more object-oriented programming languages and design patterns • Practical experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation • Advanced understanding of IDEs and ability to navigate through them quickly • Understanding of APIs and frameworks, including JSON, REST/SOAP-based Web Services, JUnit, Jenkins, and Bitbucket • Experience in API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, and request and response modifications • Experience creating REST API documentation using Swagger or similar tools • Ability to use DDL to create database objects and relationships and construct advanced queries • Financial services industry experience • Ability to communicate complex technical information to all levels, including senior leadership • Regularly overlap with U.S. business hours • Remain compliant with company policies, processes, and guidelines • Attendance as required by department
