📋 Description

• Own and continuously improve Creditstar's data platform on AWS and Snowflake, keeping it reliable, performant, and scalable. • Strengthen platform performance, security, secrets management, and observability across the data stack. • Track and optimize Snowflake and AWS spend and lead FinOps practices within the data team. • Advance data governance through data ownership, access and PII controls, data lineage, and audit readiness in line with GDPR and internal policies. • Define and uphold engineering standards for testing, versioning, code reviews, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows. • Own the integration layer connecting internal and third-party data sources. • Lead responses to data platform incidents through durable fixes. • Work with DevOps on underlying infrastructure by setting requirements and reviewing solutions. • Support BI Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists with a governed, documented, self-serve platform.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience running and improving a cloud data platform on AWS and Snowflake. • A solid grasp of cloud infrastructure, security, and cost management, enough to set requirements and assess solutions alongside DevOps. • Practical experience with data governance, access control, and PII management. • Experience in a regulated setting such as finance, banking, or AML/KYC. • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders. • A dependable, ownership-driven approach: you stay with a problem until it is resolved and does not come back. • Structured working style with the confidence to set standards where none exist yet. • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-scaling environment. • Fluent in spoken and written English. • Nice to have: A track record with cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices. • Nice to have: Familiarity with modern table formats (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake). • Nice to have: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • AWS experience including EC2, EMR, MWAA, and RDS. • Snowflake. • Airflow and DBT. • Spark and Docker. • Kafka.
