• Support monitoring transactions and financial operations in real time and retrospectively to identify fraud patterns and indicators (e.g., Pix, Cards, Credit, Payment Methods, Account Opening), assisting the anti-fraud team in understanding financial transaction flows. • Manage and improve rules and models in fraud prevention systems (FAS - Fraud Analytics Systems) to optimize detection and reduce false positives. • Conduct risk analyses for new products and processes, proposing robust controls to mitigate fraud vulnerabilities. • Review systems and software to identify improvements in technological controls for fraud prevention, developing mechanisms to strengthen security. • Conduct detailed investigations of confirmed or attempted fraud cases, collecting evidence and preparing comprehensive reports. • Act directly in processes involving the breaking of bank, tax and/or data confidentiality, responding to requests from competent authorities (Police, Public Prosecutor’s Office, Judiciary), ensuring strict legal compliance and adherence to deadlines. • Interface with Legal, Compliance and external authorities to support inquiries and judicial proceedings. • Understand loss recovery processes, such as Carta Circular/COMPE and MED (Mecanismo Especial de Devolução do Pix / Special Pix Refund Mechanism). • Stay up to date on key laws and regulations of the SFN (National Financial System) related to financial crimes and data protection. • Analyze and apply guidelines for the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism (PLD/FT) — AML/CFT. • Ensure the area’s procedures comply with current legislation, Banco Central (BACEN) rules, and resolutions of the Conselho de Controle de Atividades Financeiras (COAF).
• Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Law, Information Technology, or Data-related areas. • Proven experience in Fraud Prevention and Combat, Operational Risk, or Information Security, preferably in Financial Institutions or Payment Processors. • Experience handling sensitive data and responding to court orders or requests for the lifting of confidentiality (judicial requests). • Programming logic / basic programming skills. • Solid knowledge of Brazilian laws combating fraud and financial crimes, including but not limited to: • Law No. 7,492/86 (Crimes against the National Financial System). • Law No. 9,613/98 and amendments (Money Laundering Law - PLD/FT). • BACEN and COAF regulations relevant to fraud prevention and transaction monitoring. • Familiarity with the payments ecosystem and common fraud types (e.g., phishing, smishing, identity theft, Pix fraud, impersonation scams). • Ability to analyze large volumes of data (advanced Excel, SQL and/or other BI/Analytics tools are differentiators). • Knowledge of fraud prevention tools and systems (e.g., ClearSale, Konduto, FICO, OFD, etc.). • Excellent analytical skills and logical reasoning to identify complex patterns. • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Unquestionable integrity, ethics, and discretion when handling confidential information. • Clear and objective communication skills (written and verbal) for report writing and interaction with authorities and internal stakeholders.
