• Data & Database Management: design, manage, and oversee Crux’s database of energy projects, capital markets transactions, and financing structures. • Credit & Financial Analysis: Strategize at a high level around trends driving project-level financing, including credit profiles, debt structures, and tax credit transactions. • Market Intelligence: Track trends in energy project finance, capital markets, and credit activity to inform Crux’s internal strategy and external reporting. • Analytical Support: Deliver rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis to support customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with product, research, and customer success teams to ensure data integrity and analytic rigor across outputs.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred. • 7–9 years of relevant professional experience in credit analysis, project finance, infrastructure investing, energy banking, or structured finance. • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating project or corporate credit risk, including proficiency in cash flow modeling, capital structure assessment, and covenant analysis. • Strong understanding of energy markets, project finance structures, and policy-driven investment frameworks (e.g., tax equity, debt, and credit enhancements). • Proven ability to develop and maintain complex financial models; proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience in SQL, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools strongly preferred. • Exceptional attention to analytical rigor and data accuracy, with a track record of managing large datasets and synthesizing insights for senior audiences. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience preparing credit memos, investor briefings, or market analyses. • Highly self-directed, with strong organizational and project management skills; capable of operating independently in a fast-paced, data-driven environment while collaborating across functions. • Deep intellectual curiosity about capital markets, risk, and the energy transition, with the ability to translate complex financial and technical detail into actionable insight.
