📋 Description
• Design Tait radio solutions (DMR, MPT-IP, conventional) including system diagrams and equipment specifications • Lead installation, wiring, and commissioning of base stations, repeaters, and antenna infrastructure • Configure and program subscriber radios, base stations, and network controllers using Tait software tools • Diagnose and resolve RF performance, network connectivity, and software issues • Conduct site surveys and RF coverage analysis to optimize network performance • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and client stakeholders • Build strong day-to-day relationships with client technical teams
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience • Direct hands-on experience with Tait Communications radio systems (DMR, MPT-IP, conventional) • Strong RF fundamentals: antenna theory, propagation, RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, power meters, network analyzers) • Proficiency with Tait system management and configuration software tools • Experience with IP networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching) as applied to radio systems • Strong troubleshooting skills with a methodical, root-cause approach • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • RF safety standards knowledge
