• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on engines and related components at customer sites • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues using structured troubleshooting plans • Use mechanical and electronic service tools, diagnostic equipment, software, and guided workflows • Disassemble, inspect, repair, replace, and assemble engine or power-generation components • Validate completed repairs and confirm that reported issues are resolved • Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to senior technicians, supervisors, or technical support • Document troubleshooting steps, repair activities, technical findings, and service outcomes in service systems • Complete service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and required documentation • Monitor live fault codes and resolve select issues by phone or escalate them to dealerships • Create cases, assign tasks, track critical fault codes, and issue daily reports and analysis • Answer inbound customer calls and provide support through toll-free, email, chat, and Power Command Cloud channels • Update customer cases and closures in Salesforce • Provide information about dealerships, parts depots, service networks, parts, training programs, literature, and engine products • Follow up with field offices and process owners until customer issues are resolved • Maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment • Follow HSE policies, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and applicable legislation • Complete required technical and business training
• Vocational Diploma / ITI or equivalent qualification from a relevant technical institution • Technical qualification in Mechanical, Automobile, Diesel, Electrical, or a related field • Locally valid driving licence/permit is required • Minimal workshop-related experience is required • Basic hands-on knowledge of engines and related products • Strong mechanical fundamentals and basic electrical knowledge • Hands-on troubleshooting and repair capability • Ability to work independently at customer locations • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards • Ability to accurately document service activities and technical findings • Flexible to work rotational shifts in 24x7 operations, including night, morning, and afternoon shifts • Open to working on weekends and public holidays • Apprentice-trained Engine Technician qualification is preferred • Experience in engine maintenance, repair, diagnostics, automotive, diesel equipment, power generation, heavy machinery, or a similar technical environment is preferred
