β’ Assist CEGβs consulting practice in executing client projects focused on electric and water utility policy analysis and regulatory proceedings β’ Assist on the execution of written and technical work within overall client project goals β’ Draft memos, comments, and expert testimony to support client positions in regulatory cases β’ Develop, utilize, and maintain custom spreadsheet-based tools and other analytical platforms β’ Review and interpret comments or testimony submitted in regulatory proceedings β’ Draft discovery requests to electric utilities β’ Research policy, regulations, and tariffs; summarize research via memo or presentation β’ Conduct qualitative or quantitative analysis of economic and policy implications β’ Assist senior team members for client meetings and presentations β’ Collaborate with team members in scoping and writing proposals β’ Attend industry events and conferences to network and/or present
β’ 2 β 3 years of general industry experience (Consultant) β’ 4 β 6 years of general industry experience (Senior Consultant) β’ Preference for experience in cost of service and rate design, utility investment proposals, general rate case proceedings, proactive distribution system planning, flexible service connections, and transportation electrification β’ An advanced degree in energy and environmental policy, economics, engineering, or a related field β’ Strong quantitative skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills β’ Background or experience in technical or legal writing and research (for Senior Consultant) β’ Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing critical tasks while managing conflicting demands under tight deadlines
