📋 Description

• Assist CEG’s consulting practice in executing client projects focused on electric and water utility policy analysis and regulatory proceedings • Assist on the execution of written and technical work within overall client project goals • Draft memos, comments, and expert testimony to support client positions in regulatory cases • Develop, utilize, and maintain custom spreadsheet-based tools and other analytical platforms • Review and interpret comments or testimony submitted in regulatory proceedings • Draft discovery requests to electric utilities • Research policy, regulations, and tariffs; summarize research via memo or presentation • Conduct qualitative or quantitative analysis of economic and policy implications • Assist senior team members for client meetings and presentations • Collaborate with team members in scoping and writing proposals • Attend industry events and conferences to network and/or present

🎯 Requirements

• 2 – 3 years of general industry experience (Consultant) • 4 – 6 years of general industry experience (Senior Consultant) • Preference for experience in cost of service and rate design, utility investment proposals, general rate case proceedings, proactive distribution system planning, flexible service connections, and transportation electrification • An advanced degree in energy and environmental policy, economics, engineering, or a related field • Strong quantitative skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Background or experience in technical or legal writing and research (for Senior Consultant) • Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing critical tasks while managing conflicting demands under tight deadlines
