📋 Description
• Evaluate medical records and assign appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes • Analyze claims and coding to recommend revenue enhancements • Consult with medical clinicians to clarify record information • Provide quality assurance for medical records • Audit insurance payments and follow up on unpaid claims
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum of four (4) years of medical coding experience • Certification from an accredited medical coding certification organization • Working knowledge/familiarity with common office software and coding software • Familiarity with EPIC practice management software preferred • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
