DAP Health is a nonprofit, community-based Federally Qualified Health Center that provides comprehensive, affirming health care and social services to diverse communities across the Coachella Valley and surrounding regions. Since 1984 it has offered urgent care and primary care as well as specialized services including HIV care and prevention (PrEP/PEP), STI testing and treatment, hepatitis services, mental health, dental, pharmacy, sexual and reproductive health, harm reduction, and LGBTQ+-affirming programs. • Evaluate medical records and assign appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes • Analyze claims and coding to recommend revenue enhancements • Consult with medical clinicians to clarify record information • Provide quality assurance for medical records • Audit insurance payments and follow up on unpaid claims
• Minimum of four (4) years of medical coding experience • Certification from an accredited medical coding certification organization • Working knowledge/familiarity with common office software and coding software • Familiarity with EPIC practice management software preferred • Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
