📋 Description

• Handle complex L2 tickets as part of day-to-day operations • Perform in-depth troubleshooting at the application, system, and platform levels • Manage challenging virtualization, HA, storage, firewall, VPN, performance, stability, and migration cases • Coordinate and prioritize incidents and turn service disruptions into concrete improvements • Further develop runbooks, escalation rules, minimum ticket data requirements, and support procedures • Coach L1/L2 teams, review approaches, and share knowledge • Take technical ownership and coordinate efforts during critical incidents

🎯 Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Linux and service stacks, including system behavior, load and failure patterns, and the side effects of changes • Experience with web servers (e.g., NGINX, Apache), PHP runtimes, databases, caching layers, and reverse proxies (e.g., HAProxy, Traefik) • Experience with typical hosting architectures such as application/database separation, replication, and clustering • Experience with virtualized environments, HA concepts, and storage (e.g., Proxmox, KVM, Ceph, or comparable technologies) • In-depth troubleshooting and resolution of complex incidents at the application, system, and platform levels • Ability to consider dependencies and impacts on other systems • Ability to develop colleagues technically, establish standards, and improve ways of working • Good command of German • Good command of English for customer communication, documentation, and communication with vendors • A plus if you have it: Deep specialization in Proxmox/Ceph • A plus if you have it: IaC/Ansible experience • A plus if you have it: Firewall, VPN, and WAF experience (e.g., WireGuard, OpenVPN, iptables/nftables) • A plus if you have it: Experience with complex migration projects • A plus if you have it: In-depth monitoring and observability expertise (e.g., Checkmk, Prometheus)
