📋 Description

• Manage the due diligence and risk management responsibilities needed to ensure that carriers utilized by WWEX Group meet its compliance standards. • Analyze motor carrier data to determine whether carriers attempting to onboard with WWEX Group meet the company’s carrier qualification requirements. • Administer the company’s High Value/High Risk Compliance Policy to reduce cargo theft exposure. • Provide thorough and clear feedback to various parties including company employees and agents. • Utilize motor carrier monitoring services, government databases, and other resources during the due diligence process to identify and assess carriers that pose an unreasonable amount of risk to WWEX Group; take actions to reduce that risk. • Maintain accurate background data on carriers and ensure proper record keeping in WWEX Group operating systems; validate documents such as insurance certificates. • Accurately update company load management software systems. • Respond timely to and escalate other carrier inquiries sent by carrier sales representatives and WWEX Group agents and franchisees. • Promote strong ethical standards in day-to-day functions and among team members. • Partner with internal and external parties to determine proper course of conduct when issues arise during business relationships with carriers. • Collaborate with upper management to identify inefficiencies and develop effective policies and procedures. • Review, analyze, and report on various legal issues and regulations pertaining to WWEX Group’s business. • Embrace the opportunities to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role. • Work on special projects as they arise.

🎯 Requirements

• Related legal/compliance experience or background in logistics and/or trucking industries preferred • High level of detail orientation • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet browsing, and search knowledge required • Strong business ethics • Able to conform and promote the company’s standards of conduct • Ability to communicate effectively using various methods such as phone, email, messenger, and in-person • Personal initiative: strives to learn and improve, seeks out ways to better themselves and the company • Ability to multitask in a fast paced, changing environment • Self-motivated and hard-working • Comfortable working with multiple computer operating systems and programs while completing tasks is critical to the success of this position • Bachelor’s degree required • In lieu of degree, combination of education and years of experience will be considered • 1-2 years’ experience in compliance role preferred
