📋 Description

• Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts; ensure contract language accurately reflects business terms and mitigates legal and commercial risk • Lead negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners to achieve favorable terms; collaborate with internal stakeholders to align negotiation strategies • Contract Life Cycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end contract lifecycle: initiation, drafting, negotiation, execution, renewal, and termination • Maintain organized records of contracts and ensure timely renewals or amendments • Effectively leverage contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools to track deadlines, obligations, and deliverables • Litigation Management: Oversee, manage and coordinate with outside counsel to manage select company litigation matters • Support the Legal Department in evolving and strengthening Kindeva’s compliance program • Work cross-functionally to support compliance with relevant statutes and regulations globally • Lead and develop a diverse, high-performing team

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school • Active admission to any State Bar • Minimum of 5 years of direct legal experience in progressive, in-house roles, or 10 years experience with at least 3 years in in-house roles • Deep experience in contracting is required • In-house experience with CDMOs preferred • Background in the life sciences industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device) or an adjacent manufacturing sector required • Experience with start ups is strongly preferred • Experience with a broad range of legal technologies including CLMs, research tools, and AI.
